Considerations

Make no mistake about it, you can improve your ability to study.  Better study habits have a payoff—you will earn better grades and, more importantly, you will discover the satisfaction of efficient and effective learning.  Even if you are already a good student, you can always “fine tune” your study habits.

In order to get the most out of these time-tested study techniques you must commit to the following:

  • You must really want to improve, not just halfheartedly, but enthusiastically

  • You must work at studying better everyday

  • You must be self-disciplined

Not all of the study tips provided here will work for you.  Everyone has their own learning style built on a wide diversity of personal strengths and weaknesses.  So when you find something that looks like it might be right for you, try it.  Work hard at it, give it some time, and assess its value as you use it.  Like any skill development, you will need to practice.

Remember, there is no magic formula.  Study improvement takes desire, time, and effort.
